Family Cycle Training (children must be age 8+)
Family training provides a tailored training package to support people living in the same household cycle together (minimum attendence is one adult and one child age 8+).
The session begins with the goals of each family being discussed with our instructor and an off-road ride to assess each family members ability before progressing on-road.
By the end of the module the family should be able to plan enjoyable group rides and help others develop their cycling skills and confidence.
Each session can be up to two hours with a comfort break midway, for families with younger children the session will be shorter. Children participating should be able to ride a bike unaided.
If you feel you would like an additional session please mention this to your instructor at the end of the session.
This training is part funded by Active Travel England via The Bikeability Trust, please note if you need to cancel your training session we need no less than 48 hours notice. If families don’t turn up, we still need to pay our instructors but do not receive any funding. We appreciate your support with this.
Please read our terms and conditions here.
