Bikeability Learn to Ride - Child Public
Learn to Ride Sessions - aimed at age 5 - 7 years
Our Learn to Ride course offers 2 x 45 minute sessions over 2 consectutive days to help your children. The expert instructors use a series of engaging activties and games that will demonstrate step by step the key skills children require to learn to ride a bike without stabilisers. Parents are asked to participate to learn tips and continue to support your childs cycling journey.
What will the children learn?
• Get on and off the bike without help
• Start off and pedal without help
• Stop without help
• Ride along without help for roughly one minute or more
• Make the bike go where they want
• Demonstrate an understanding of safety equipment and clothing
• Carry out a simple bike check
Bikes and helmets are available to borrow, if your child has their own bike please bring it along (without stabilisers).
